Noch immer finden 70 Prozent aller Amputationen bei Diabetikern statt. Warum? Weil die Zuckerkrankheit eng verbunden ist mit Haut-Läsionen, die ohne vorbeugende Maßnahmen perspektivisch zu komplexen Wunden und Geschwüren führen können. Mit diesem sog. Diabetischen Fußsyndrom - der häufigsten Folgekomplikation bei Diabetes - beschäftigt sich der GEHWOL Diabetes-Report. Hierfür werden in Kooperation mit Statista sowohl Ärzte als auch Patienten zu Risikobewusstsein und Präventionsverhalten befragt. Die hier gezeigte Grafik beschreibt zentrale Aussagen aus Sicht der Patienten.
